Anger and stress management in the primitive and evolved human brain as well as neuroplasticity and the continuing evolution of the human brain.
DESTRUCTIVE THINKING
Destructive thinking personality categories along with the confronting and restructuring of destructive thinking.
JUDGEMENT AND CRITICALNESS
Factors of a destructive personality type where several forms of destructive thinking combine to stimulate judgmental and critical reactions to personal encounters.
ANGER AWARENESS
Awareness of stimulation of the primitive brain which controls “fight or flight”. Sensing when a “trigger point” may be activating a potential aggressive reaction.
MANAGEMENT AND CALMING TECHNIQUES
Activating more evolved areas of the brain that control “thinking, reasoning, judgement and planning” through techniques of focus, relaxation, bilateral stimulation, empathy and self-compassion.
SHAME, RAGE AND SHADOW MATERIAL
The role of shame in the anger and rage cycle and the healing process as well as hidden parts of our personalities that we don’t see and others do.

COURSE INFORMATION
The course focuses on evidence based and clinically proven practices detailed in the course workbook, “Anger Management” by Dr. Rich Pfeiffer, M.Div, Ph.D. It is presented by Tom Zoucha, CAMS-I, CCIS-II, a Certified Anger Management Specialist and Certified Crisis Intervention Specialist, certified by and registered with the National Anger Management Association. The course is also designed to meet or exceed the requirements of court ordered anger management for ages 18 and older. If this course is taken under court order, participants are responsible to check with the court to make sure this course meets the specific requirements of their case disposition.
